As I've previously stated, Yannis Phillipakis of Foals has stated that their new album will sound that of the dying dream of an eagle. What does the dream of a dying eagle sound like? Well, from the new jam sessions for the album that have been posted on the Foals Myspace blog, it sounds pretty damn good.
They (the jams - XCFAVA mainly) remind me quite alot of Radiohead's song Nude. It seems to be the senseless words which are sung quite high in the background of part of XCFAVA that draws me to think this, but dont think that it will be slow and beautiful. It is very much quick and on all four feet. The effects pedal are noticeably changing, but they are only really just playing about. Theyre pretty short too so dont expect anything epic for a trio of free downloads.
The 5 Jams are split into two (and the first jam is kinda split into two); Late Night and Early Morning. I'll let you figure out what those mean...
